Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Individuals Planning to Take Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS)

STATUS: All Clinical Skills Evaluation Collaboration (CSEC) centers are currently open unless an announcement states otherwise on the CSEC website.

The United States Medical Licensing Examination^® (USMLE^®) program continues to monitor developments in the COVID-19 virus (“coronavirus”) outbreak and is prepared to take appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of examinees.

The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued travel notices for several countries in connection with the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. For the most current information on affected countries, please see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html.

If you reside in or have recently traveled to any country subject to a travel notice, or if you might have come in contact with anyone with suspected coronavirus infection, and/or have concerns about your health and/or the health and safety of those with whom you might come in contact, you are strongly encouraged to contact your registering entity to reschedule your Step 2 CS examination and request a waiver of the rescheduling fee.
